Zoo trip!!!

Ahh... it's so nice to be back home, er I mean squatting in someone else's house until we move. LOL

Whew! Yep, it's OFFICIAL! The house sold! YAHOOO! We've been gone since July 2nd and about 10 different people came through and 3 offers and viola! We're officially moving!!!

Today, Daddy took us to Krispie Kreme donuts for brunch and then to the zoo. We were sooo tired that Little One fell asleep in the car on the way to get donuts(they have a drive thru) and I didn't want to wake him to go inside the zoo so we all just slept in the car in the zoo parking lot. hahaha It was not too hot temperature out so why not! :)

Apparently, everyone else in our fair city had the same idea we did and it was packed by the time we got in! Whew! We mainly just walked the zoo. The most exciting part for Baby was probably the big flock of geese that crossed in front of the stroller. There were probably about 60 or so. I counted 30 on one side of the path alone. That's a lot of geese!

It was fun strolling through the zoo and people watching and looking at some of the animals. BUT the most fun part was getting to ride the carousel!!! Ever since we've lived here and have been going to the zoo, I've been meaning to make time to ride the carousel so today was now or never time (since we'll be moving in 2 weeks). IT WAS GREAT! I forgot how much fun that is to get to do!!! Here's some pics... Baby seemed to really like going up and down on the horse for a while but got a little tired of it and so Daddy switched him to the polar bear. This was the highlight of my day today! FUN!!!

Shopping

I like shopping. I like going to the grocery store, to the mall, and for the longtime readers of this blog we all know I like going to Walgreens! OK, but sometimes shopping can get into the work category like when looking for a house... It's fun! But whew! We are shopping shopping shopping. Today an inspector told us the house we were considering has mold... then said it wasn't really that big of a deal just after he had wiped his fingers across several floor joists in the basement each one having a thin layer. I'm not convienced. In the past 3 days I've talked with three different people about 4 different people sick or dead from mold in their homes. Well, the person that died had worked on a house in New Orleans after the flood. The other sick people went into the hospital for a bit of time. Mold. No thanks. I have no no no desire to put our baby in house that has it. No way no how.

So the good news is, I get to keep shopping. And yep, that will be fun!

Daddy's Birthday!

We celebrated Daddy Magee's birthday this past weekend with Grandmama, Papa Al, Puh, and Uncle. It was lots of fun visiting family and thanks sooo much Grandmama for all the babysitting! We even got to go on a date!!!!!!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! That was soooo great!

On Friday Daddy was getting antsy about the house selling so on the way to see family, we prayed that the house would sell... then viola! God decided it was time and we had someone call us that night with an offer. WAHOOO! Thank you Lord!

The paperwork is signed and has been faxed in today. :) So... our little family will be living in a hotel for about 45 days until we can close on the house we like. Oh, and that's Daddy's big present for his birthday. :) We will probably make an offer after the home inspection tomorrow as long as it goes well... We'll see! Please pray that God will guide us in the right direction, and we will know all the costs for any problems that may arise and that Daddy and I will be able to say NO to this house if there is a mold problem(there was a roof leak recently).

PS Whew, it's going to be tough moving out of the hotel. LOL Maid service, breakfast ready for us each morning, indoor pool, outdoor giant fenced patio area, etc etc etc. It's a tough life. HAHAHA

PPS WOW, I didn't realize how bright the cake was until I posted a pic! Don't worry no one was harmed in the eating of this birthday cake!!!
